The Australian Business Visa Program
The Australian Government recognises a need for innovation and development of local industry. To facilitate this, the Department of Home Affairs administers a skilled and business migration program.
There are several Australian Business visa types offered by the Australia Government. Our Immigration Lawyer understand the different types and offer a tailored service to help you find the right Business visa for your situation. We prepare your paperwork, lodge the application for your Australian visa, and liaise with the Department of Home Affairs on your behalf.
Business Innovation visa
The Business Innovation visa is aimed at individuals who have a proven successful business career and are seeking to operate a new or existing business in Australia. To qualify you and your partner must have total net business and personal assets of either 1.25 million or 800,000, depending on when you received an invitation to apply.
Investor and Significant Investor visa
The Investor visa is aimed at investors wishing to live in Australia and who invest at least 1.5 million dollars in an Australian business. The business must be located in an Australian State or Territory and the applicant must have been nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency to qualify.
The Significant Investor visa is aimed at investors who wish to live in Australia and invest at least 5 million dollars in an Australian investment. The investment must comply with certain requirements and to qualify the applicant must have been nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency or Austrade.
Premium Investor
The Significant Investor visa is aimed at investors who wish to live in Australia and invest at least 15 million dollars in an Australian business, investment and/or philanthropic contributions that meet certain requirements. The investor must genuinely intend to hold onto the investment for the duration of the visa and must have been nominated by Austrade.
Entrepreneur visa
The Entrepreneur visa is aimed at start-up and early entrepreneurs who wish to live in Australia and undertake, or propose to undertake, a complying entrepreneurial activity in Australia. The applicant must have a funding agreement to carry out an endorsed entrepreneurial activity, and be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.

Depending on the type of Business visa you are applying for, you may be required to satisfy other criteria in addition to the points calculator test (where applicable).
These include being funded by an approved entity (if invited to apply before 1 July 2021) or endorsed by a recognized body (if invited to apply on or after 1 July 2021).You must also be:
1. Invited to apply for the visa
2. Under 55 years of age
3. Competent in English
4. Free of debt to the Australian Government
